PACI announces 800,000 citizens and expatriates registered on Kuwait Mobile ID app

The number of registered people on the Kuwait Mobile ID app reached 800,000 citizens and expatriates until yesterday, with the numbers constantly increasing at a rate of 5,000 registered daily, sources at Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) said, Al Jarida daily reported.

The sources also confirmed to Al-Jarida that there are no problems with the app system, and is working properly, especially after its modernization, to consistently work with the latest smartphones and the advanced systems of government and private agencies.

This is in response to complaints of error messages that appear during registration for some while updating the passport details, whether name or passport number, or updating some details of personal information, which calls for the person concerned to request details at the Ministry of Interior, so that the Ministry sends has to submit them again.

Regarding the delay in issuing civil cards, the sources said that this is due to the large number of requests to the PACI, and a plan was drawn up to give priority to citizens’ civil id cards for distribution followed by other nationalities.

He explained that the problem lay with the large number of civil id cards being stored for long periods in the devices, and not being retrieved by their owners.

The delay to distribute the civil id cards will end as soon as the home delivery procedure starts very soon, with the date being set in mid-November.
