The volume of online purchases by citizens and residents during 2021 saw an increase of 67.7%, worth 4.1 billion dinars, to reach 10.16 billion dinars, compared to 6.05 billion in 2020.
Official data seen by Al-Anba revealed spending of citizens and residents on “online” purchases inside Kuwait increased by more than 69%, (3.86 billion dinars in 2021 to reach 9.43 billion dinars), compared to 5.57 billion dinars in 2020.
The spending by citizens and residents on online purchases outside Kuwait increased by 51%, worth 243 million dinars to reach 724.6 million dinars in 2021, compared to 481.3 million dinars in 2020.
