The Ministry of Health announced the registration of 4,294 new cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 583,113.
Ministry spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sunna, said that 5022 cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the total number of people recovered to 527,904, indicating that the percentage of the total cases of recovery out of the total injuries amounted to 90.5 percent.
Al-Sanad explained that a death was recorded as a result of the infection bringing the total number of registered deaths to 2511.
He stated that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 91 cases, while the total number of cases that were confirmed to be infected and are still receiving the necessary care reached 52,698, and the total number of cases in (Covid 19) wards reached 532.
He added that the number of swabs that were conducted during the same period amounted to 31,464, bringing the total to 714,068, noting that the percentage of infections for the number of these swabs amounted to 13.6 percent.
