Oncost launches voting initiative for Kuwaitis during 2020 Elections

Oncost supermarket chain has announced an initiative to encourage voting, which is part of lending support to the upcoming 2020 nation’s elections. This endeavor seeks to encourage voters to participate in the electoral process. 

During the promotion period which is ongoing throughout the Election Day on Saturday, the company will grant a coupon worth KD5 to shop at its outlets to every voter who casts his or her vote after they present proof of a 2020 elections stamp on the nationality document to representatives at any Oncost outlet.

Oncost, which has 23 branches from central markets in all areas of Kuwait, hopes that this special symbolic offer will encourage and motivate voters to participate in the 2020 nation’s elections.

In this regard, Vice Chairman and CEO Saleh Muhammad Al-Taneeb stated that Oncost’s aim is to mobilize voters while carrying the symbolic meaning of supporting and encouraging voters to participate in the electoral process. He added that it also intends to highlight the importance of community interaction through important events and show the extent of its impact on the lives of citizens in all aspects.

He pointed out that this idea is not merely a promotional tool for markets and products as much as it is a community interactive idea, as Oncost believes that supporting the values ​​of democracy in Kuwaiti society is one of the most important aspects that contribute to the stability and distinction for our beloved country, and that urging voters to vote extensively is sufficient to maintain a healthy community environment, which is moving towards development and prosperity.

On his part, Haytham Malik, Director of Administration Affairs, pointed to Oncost’s constant determination and continuous endeavor to support constructive ideas in society, through its positive interaction via targeted social activities, noting the need to adhere to health regulations by everyone during the voting process.
