The Ministry of Interior said officers, who are 60 years and above have been instructed to submit applications for retirement,
Sources told Al-Rai daily, “About 200 officers of various ranks have already submitted applications last Sunday and Monday, to the Ministry of Interior, to consider them for retirement, extension of service or refer them to the Ministry’s office.”
The sources pointed out “this approach will allow middle-ranking officers to be promoted to senior positions, should some of them senior officers are sent into retirement and make room for young blood, especially as the Ministry of Interior is on the verge of restructuring at various levels through technological development to meet the challenges.”
