October 16 is last day to register for the evening centers

The Ministry of Education has set 16th of October, Sunday, as the deadline for students to register in the evening centers for the 2022-2023 school year, as classrooms have returned to normal after they were overwhelmed with learners during virtual classes in the distance education system during the coronavirus crisis.

The educational districts began to develop their plans and visions to restore what the health crisis left behind with all its repercussions on male and female students, with the rotation of the study wheel in the kindergarten and primary stages. The most important of this is the problem of poor skills and academic underperformance in all educational zones for primary and intermediate students, starting next week, to determine the missing skills of students.

Al-Ansari said that in light of the test results, the guidance will deduct five minutes from each lesson to remind students of the missing skills, as well as link past and current concepts between them, stressing that the treatment will be part of the curriculum during the first and second semesters of the academic year.

Director of Educational Affairs in Hawally Educational District, Nada Al-Mutairi, supported Al-Ansari, as she revealed to an Arab daily about survey tests in the primary and intermediate levels to determine the weaknesses of students.

Al-Mutairi confirmed that all school principals have been informed of the development of a road map to treat weak and faltering students and assign department heads according to their job duties to follow up and treat these students. They have begun organizing field visits to schools to find out the plans and proposals in addressing the effects of the health crisis.

The official added that the treatment plan for the effects of the coronavirus crisis will include primary and middle school students together, but the focus will be greater on students in the fourth and fifth grades as they were affected during the crisis period and did not obtain sufficient educational skills, whether during in-person classes or distance education, or in both group systems.

The source added that the scientific content in all academic subjects will be fully applied to students during the current year, indicating that there will be no shortcuts in the curricula, and pointing out that schools have returned to normal in all subjects with returning lessons that were pending for the past year.
