Nazaha receives 46 corruption reports in 9 months

Nazaha or the Public Anti-Corruption Authority said it has monitored 46 reports until last September, 6 reports per month on an average, involving about 12 government institutions.

In this regard a report issued by the Corruption Detection and Investigation Sector pointed out that most were filed against in the ministries of Works and Electricity — 4 reports against each ministry, reports a local Arabic daily.

The sources added, 3 reports each were registered against the Kuwait Oil Company, Customs Department, the Kuwait Municipality, and Ministry of Health.

The sources stated that last September one complaint each was filed against the Zakat House, and Ministries of Health, Electricity, Social Affairs, and Education and the Kuwait Municipality.

And for the month of August, the authority stated that the competent sector received 3 reports against the customs administration, and one against each of the “industry, electricity, endowments, and the National Council.”

And during last June and July, 5 reports were submitted against the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Housing, Works, and the disability authority.

With regard to the financial disclosure declaration, the authority revealed that it had received, until the end of last August, 99.4 percent
