The Government Communication Center for Joint Media Action in Saudi Arabia published facts and figures from the statistics of the Ministry of Tourism for the year 2021 which show that a majority of tourists during 2021 were Kuwaitis, with more than 623,000.
It also showed that the total number of tourists who visited Saudi Arabia in 2021 were 67 million with Makkah Al-Mukarramah taking in the bulk with more than 14 million tourists, followed by Riyadh with more than 10 million, reports a local Arabic daily.
The center said the main purpose of the visit was for entertainment with a rate of 47.2%.
The Ministry of Tourism said: “The beauty of the place, the diversity of nature and the generosity of the people is what attracts others to the Kingdom.”
