Municipality officials urged to submit asset declarations

Kuwait Municipality has been urged by the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) to request all employees covered by the ‘Asset Declaration Regulation’ to submit details of their assets. Nazaha announced that of the 295 employees who are covered in the asset declaration regulations, four employees are yet to submit any document pertaining to the declaration of their assets.

The asset declaration list provides asset details to top municipality officials, including that of the Director-General Engr. Ahmad Al-Manfouhi,  assistant undersecretaries, deputies to the director general of various sectors, directors, and several other principal administrative and technical staff.

One of the advisors to the director general from Egypt was also requested to update his data. The list contains names with the date of submitting the update. Nazaha urged the director general to notify the concerned employees whose names are on the list but have not submitted their asset details to do so before the submission deadline. The last date for submission is within 60 days from the date of issuing the letter, and, in case an official retires or resigns from their post within the submission period, the employee will then be able to complete and forward the details within 90 days of last attending office.
