Municipal Council approves localization of industrial, service activities

The Ahmadi Governorate Municipal Council Committee during a recent meeting, chaired by member Saud Al-Kandari, approved the request of the Public Authority for Industry to localize industrial and service activities within Site No. 11 in Mina Abdullah, which has an area of 548,437 square meters, to be a complex for sustainable industries.

The committee distributed the areas of activities, so that the service sector is 25 percent with an area of 137,109 square meters, of which 10 percent is a warehouse area, 5 percent is a service area, 5 percent is labor accommodation, and 5 percent is a service center specialized in maintaining machinery, metals and mechanisms, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The committee allocated an area of 109,687 square meters, or 20 percent of the site, for the environmental and recycling industries sector, which includes dismantling and processing car scrap activities, while allocating 40 percent, or 219,375 square meters, for the manufacturing sector, which includes transformative factories for the construction, energy, and plastic manufacturing sectors, and 15 percent for the light industry sector with an area of 82,265 square meters for the metal products, storage and construction sectors.
