MPW signs contract for maintenance of road signs, side mesh

The Ministry of Public Works has signed a two-year contract for the maintenance of road signs, one of the contracts that are offered periodically and continuously for the maintenance, supply and installation of road signs and traffic signs of all kinds and forms.

The Al-Anba daily has learned from well-informed sources that the contract pertains to the maintenance, supply and installation of new safety barriers, as well as the side mesh fences of the road network in all parts of Kuwait, including highways, according to general maintenance requirements and determined by the Maintenance Engineering Affairs Sector in accordance with the conditions, technical specifications and approved plans for the work of this contract and capacity on the basis of the unit of measurement. For each item, there are “indicative and traffic signs works, metal works and electrical works.”

On the other hand, the Ministry of Public Works stated that it has responded to 219 complaints it received during last Tuesday’s rains from all governorates, saying Al-Ahmadi Governorate ranked first with 65 complaints, followed by Farwaniya with 42, the Capital with 41, followed by Hawalli 25, Mubarak Al-Kabeer 24 and Al-Jahra 22 complaints.
