MOJ sells 9 properties by auction

The Ministry of Justice has begun procedures which will last until Feb 24, to sell 9 properties through public auctions, including 8 residential properties in addition to a hotel, at an initial base price of 9.09 million dinars.

Al-Anba has learned that the properties offered for auction are distributed in a number of areas of Kuwait. During yesterday’s session, 4 properties were offered for sale in Al-Rabiya, Al-Faiha’, Al-Salmiya, and Al-Dasma.

A house 1,000 square meters in Rabiya was sold for 655,000 dinars, compared to the initial price of 410,000 dinars while the other 3 properties remained unsold — a 500-meter house in Faiha whose base price was 450,000 dinars; a 1000-meter house in Salmiya with a base price of 450,000 dinars, and a 500-meter house in Dasma with a starting price of 370,000 dinars.

In today’s session, the Justice Ministry was scheduled to offer 4 residential properties for sale in Jahra, Dasma, Ardhiya, and Salwa. The house in Jahra, area 1,000 meters has a base price of 550,000 dinars; a house in Dasma of 500 meters has a price tag of 480,000 dinars; a 300-square-meter house in Ardhiya has a base price of 215,000 dinars, and a 567-square-meter house in Salwa with a base price of 520,000 dinars.

On Feb 24 one of the famous hotels located in the Bneid Al-Qar area in the capital governorate, with an area of 1,467 square meters, will be offered for sale in the auction – an initial starting price is 5.65 million dinars; it has two halls one for men and the other for women, and a third multi-purpose hall, in addition to 3 meeting rooms, a health club, a central kitchen, a “coffee shop” and various offices and restaurants.
