MoI revamps security measures for Eid holidays

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is committed to upholding security and protecting residents and visitors in Kuwait, said the Acting Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf. The undersecretary was speaking after having reviewed the preparations made by MoI for the upcoming Eid Al-Adha holidays.

According to a press release issued by the Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal, who was heading a committee of security leaders, affirmed the importance of spreading awareness, ensuring preparedness, exerting efforts, and implementing necessary measures to ensure security and safety in the country.

He stressed the need for police officers to deal politely with residents, both citizens and expatriates, and provide the necessary support to all, especially the elderly and the disabled.

Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal also stressed the need to distribute security and traffic patrol teams as well as rescue teams to heavily populated areas, such as malls and mosques during the upcoming holidays. In addition, he revealed that the MoI had taken extra measures at border checkpoints to deal with the expected increase in the number of people leaving and entering the country on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, including the Hajj pilgrims.
