The Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced an online system to book advance appointments on the official website of the Ministry of Interior (www.moi.gov.kw) for those who want to travel in special circumstances, and meet the conditions approved by the Council of Ministers and health authorities.
The online travel service can be used for the following cases :
- Critical health conditions that allows travel, at their own expenses
- Students studying abroad and necessary to travel for fear of missing their tests/exams or admission to universities and institutes along with companion if necessary
- A Citizen in the following cases:
– He or she has a foreign spouse abroad
– A citizen residing abroad
– Other special cases approved by the MOI
The travel should not be less than 30 days.
The person who wishes to travel must submit a request to travel to the MOI, with the documents and entry visa to the country, at least 10 days prior to the date of departure.
The person who wishes to travel must sign a declaration and a pledge that includes bearing the expenses of treatment in the event that he/she is infected with the coronavirus. In addition, the cost of return will not be demanded from the government or any financial or other obligations that may arise from travel, and the traveler will have to abide with all the requirements of the health authorities if he/she is forced to returns to Kuwait, including compulsory quarantine, which will be decided by the health authorities whether institutional or home at the travelers expense.
MOI stated that on the website the traveler should choose the type of transaction, after that the location must be mentioned, select the day and time available, then confirm the reservation and save the “barcode” to show it to the authorities at the time when required to cross check. The administration also stresses the necessity for all travelers to adhere to the health requirements when reviewing the deadline.
