The Ministry of Interior has introduced the initial phase of a new application, tailored for use by police and traffic officers.
The primary objective of this launch is to streamline the issuance of traffic violations by transitioning from traditional paper-based methods to a digital platform, reports Al-Jarida daily.
With this innovative solution, traffic officers are empowered to promptly identify violations and issue them digitally. Subsequently, violators receive immediate notifications via the “Sahel” application.
This strategic move stems from the guidance of Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The initiative aims to enhance transparency, enforce tighter control over traffic violations, and swiftly address reckless behavior and infringements, ultimately leading to a more regulated traffic environment.
The Ministry’s statement underscores that drivers can conveniently access information about their traffic violations through the Sahel application or by visiting the Ministry of Interior’s official website.
As a further call to action, the Ministry urges both citizens and residents to uphold traffic regulations, adhere to prescribed instructions, and comply with police directives.
