The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior stated that what has been on social media sites, about unavailability of sufficient investigators and the refusal to receive complaints during national days celebrations, is incorrect.
Al-Jarida said the administration has clarified that the work system of Department of Investigations personnel on weekends and official holidays is what the department called “watch system”, where many cases have been registered, and there is continuous coordination between the General Department of Investigations and the Public Security Sector to receive and record communications, initiate investigation and take the required measures during official holidays.
The administration called on everyone to investigate accuracy before publishing any news, stressing that the administration’s doors are open to respond to any questions or inquiries around the clock.
