MoI announces settling 80 percent of (accounting) notes and referring 5 tenders to prosecution

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh said Sunday that 80 percent of observations made by Audit Bureau were settled for the past fiscal year, and five tenders were transferred to Public Prosecution. In his Twitter account, Al-Saleh said that some 20 percent of the regulatory observations were partially settled as well.

The minister noted that in addition to previous meetings, he met today with the Audit Bureau President Faisal Al-Shaya’, his deputy Adil Al-Sara’awi, and delivered to them the ministry’s report on the past fiscal year and observations made by the bureau.

The minister expressed thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by bureau, praising as well the role of MPs on the Budgets Committee and their observations of the Interior Ministry’s budget. Al-Saleh praised commitment made by Interior ministry personnel in taking the necessary measures to respond to the Audit Bureau report.
