The security teams were able to seize a group of drug dealers, through ambushes and intensive inspection campaigns last November, which resulted in the discovery of about 15 kilograms of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to the reports of the Ministry of Interior, the campaigns were carried out under direct instructions from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid, and 13 dealers were seized with quantities ready for sale, sensitive scales and other tools, in addition to the seizure of marijuana seedlings, its oil, and other materials used in the manufacture of psychotropic substances.
In this context, the Director General of the General Department of Relations and Security Media in the Ministry of Interior, Major General Tawheed Al-Kandari, affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to confront the smugglers of drugs and psychotropic substances and their dealers, who fiercely target the country’s youth, while directing preemptive strikes against them.
