Ministry of Health (MoH) is reported to have set aside KD12 million to reward employees who excelled in their work during 2019.
Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah is said to have authorized the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Mustafa Reda to disburse the ‘excellent work’ rewards for 2019 to all employees who have been recommended for their work by their superiors.
One of the Ministry’s prerequisites for eligibility for excellent work award is the employee should have completed a minimum of one calendar year from 1 January, 2019 to 31 December, 2019, in the Ministry of Health. Other conditions include that the employee should not have faced any disciplinary action in 2019 and that they must not have taken sick leave exceeding 15 days during 2019, except in cases of hospitalization.
The excellent work payments will be in accordance with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) rules. The doctors, consultants and department managers each gets KD1,500; pharmacists, technicians and supervisors get KD1,300; department heads get KD1,000; the nursing staff KD800 and other employees and administrators KD400 for assistive and technical jobs
