A medical team at Al-Amiri Hospital performed 22 complex ‘obesity’ surgeries in cooperation with visiting doctors from Brazil and the United States of America.
The consultant of general surgery, laparoscopy and obesity at the hospital, Dr. Walid Buhaimed, said these operations were performed on patients from various public and specialized hospitals in the country. reports Al-Jarida daily
Buhaimed added that the patients were suffering from obesity and acute GERD, in addition to cases that were suffering from complications after sleeve gastrectomy and bypass operations, pointing to the use of modern and advanced devices in performing these operations.
