The Ministry of Health affirmed its commitment to the continuous development of the health system and updating the health care policies in line with the latest global technological developments.
A local Arabic daily reported that the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for External Health Services Affairs, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Tamar, during the opening of the first vascular surgery conference stated that the conference is a step towards medical development with the conscious vision of the organizing committees, which shed light on the most important developments in the field of vascular specialization, in addition to benefiting from modern technologies in the field of diagnosis, treatment, and follow-ups.
He pointed out that the goal is to adapt the latest advancements of modern science in the field of diagnosis, methods of treatment and prevention of vascular diseases, which helps in developing and updating programs and strategies aimed at ensuring the development of the health services system in Kuwait.
Followed, Dr. Hisham Rashed, a vascular consultant at Jaber Hospital and head of the conference, said in his speech that holding the first conference at Jaber Hospital confirms the success of the administration in developing medical services by bringing in experts and consultants from different countries around the world to exchange the latest findings in the field of technology.
Then, the head of the surgery department at Jaber Hospital, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Mazedi, stated that this conference brings together all vascular units in Kuwait to discuss the latest issues and topics, especially with the increase in the spread of some diseases such as diabetes and heart diseases.
He pointed out that the conference will focus on a number of aspects related to modern trends and the latest developments in the field of vascular surgery, including scientific research, studies, awareness programs and guidelines in new sciences in the diabetic foot, carotid stenting and others.
