Sahel application records 24,909 online transactions

The Assistant Undersecretary for the Planning and Training Sector at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Ali Shaaban, announced that the ministry has succeeded in completing 24,909 online transactions related to the various sectors of the ministry in Kuwait during the past year through the ministry’s electronic portal, the “Sahel” application.

The statistics showed the number of service transactions completed by the various sectors of the ministry, from January 1, 2022 to December 31 2022, reports a local Arabic daily.

The following is the number and type of services that were secured through online transactions:

1 – New Electricity Receipt Transaction: 5159.
2 – Reinforce an electric current: 660.
3 – Cable transfer and electric meter: 260.
4 – Relay service for cables, overhead lines and stations: 38.
5 – Temporary electric current: 1350.
6 – Water delivery for a new building: 5281.
7 – Transferring a water link: 1794.
8 – Temporary water receipt: 441.
9 – Water service parts: 2.
10 – Increasing the capacity of an existing water connection: 16.
11 – Request to remove a cable and an electricity meter for the purpose of demolition: 1308.
12 – To add a water connection to an existing building: 42.
13 – Electricity Restore: 523.
14 – Bill Payment Request (Facility or One Building): 3055.
15 – Request to pay bills of all utilities registered in the client’s name: 457.
16 – Payment of debt declaration installments: 141.
17 – Registering a meter in the name of a new customer: 493.
18 – Canceling the registration of a counter to leave the facility: 56.
19 – Update customer data: 843.
20- Requesting a clearance certificate for a client: 8.
21 – Restore the interrupted service due to non-payment of bills: 167.
22 – Payment of meter insurance: 339.
23 – Reporting meter malfunctions: 106.
24 – Recovering a Meter Insurance: 147.
25 – Inquiry about debt declaration data: 53.
26 – Adding or canceling electricity meters: 5.
27 – Adding or canceling water meters: 4.
28 – Submitting a complaint about the validity of bills or meter reading: 47.
