Moderna and Johnson vaccines to arrive soon

Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah explained that all Gulf nations are affected by the delay of Oxford AstraZenca vaccine supplies and not just Kuwait, pointing out that 75% of vaccine production is distributed to 10 countries and 25% to the rest of the world, Arabic daily Al Rai reported

He stressed that everyone who is waiting for the second dose of the Oxford vaccine will be vaccinated after receiving the expected batch within 10 days, and 30 centers will be operated for this, stressing that “if we had enough vaccines for everyone, we would have given them from the first day.”

He pointed out that some countries of the world do not record infections without symptoms, and only those who enter the hospital and suffer from symptoms are recorded.

Dr Sheikh also revealed that a contract was made to import the “Moderna” and “Johnson & Johnson” vaccines to Kuwait and wlll arrive in the near future.
