MP Majid Al-Mutairi, the Rapporteur of the Parliamentary Health Committee, reported that today, the committee convened a meeting to discuss a proposed amendment to the second paragraph of Article 14 of Decree-Law No. (24) of 1979, which pertains to financial controllers in cooperative societies.
The Al-Rai daily said, the meeting was attended by officials from both the Ministry of Affairs and the Civil Service Commission.
Al-Mutairi highlighted that the proposed amendment aims to benefit a significant group of financial observers. He further informed that the Ministry of Social Affairs requested a one-month extension for studying the proposal, and the Civil Service Bureau has given its approval. As a result, the meeting has been rescheduled to the following month to gather the opinion of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
