The Ministry of Interior has submitted a request to build a security point in the Qibla area in the fourth commercial plot behind Souk Al Mubarakiya.
According to the Kuwait Municipality, there is a provision for a mobile ‘kiosk’ belonging to the public security sector of the Security Directorate of the Capital Governorate in principle between the competent authority in the Ministry of Interior and the Mubarakiya Markets Committee regarding the allocation of 2 security points that belong to the security of the Capital Governorate, reports a local Arabic daily.
However, the Municipality has agreed to the request, and stipulated in its technical opinion that it be temporary and of light materials and can removed at the Municipality’s request without any responsibility, with commitment and adherence to standing rules and regulations.
In turn, the head of the Municipal Council, Osama Al-Otaibi, has referred the issue to the Municipality’s Capital Governorate Committee for discussion next Sunday.
