The Ministry of Information announced that it has completed designing an investment bid to establish and manage a digital platform for the ministry that will broadcast content over the Internet (OTT), in order to achieve the objectives of the ministry’s strategy in implementing digital transformation and maximizing state revenues.
The official spokeswoman for the ministry, Anwar Murad, stated that the launch of this platform comes under the directives of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, within the framework of implementing the sustainable goals in the ministry’s strategy regarding digitization.
Murad explained that the establishment and management of the platform aims to display multimedia content such as documentaries that express Kuwaiti culture and its ancient heritage in various fields and TV series, in addition to presenting historical radio programs, current and future television and radio programs, and providing video-on-demand service on a subscription basis.
