Minister of Public Work and Minister of State for Housing Dr. Jenan Ramadan announced her resignation on Tuesday, as 10 MPs filed a no-confidence motion against her.
In a regular parliamentary session featuring the grilling of the minister by MP Omar AlTabtabai, Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanin said that the motion of noconfidence was submitted according to the constitution and parliament statutes. Ramadan tendered her resignation at the end of the grilling session. “I announce my resignation as, regrettably, companies and influential people are stronger than the right,” she claimed.
