In what is seen as a negative approach, the Minister of Public Works, Dr. Amani Bouqmaz, has allegedly issued orders to prevent journalists from attending her meeting with representatives of ambassadors of 7 countries on the issue of direct contracting to solve the road problem.
Al-Jarida said it was surprised when one of the reporters from Al-Jarida was barred from attending the meeting by the minister’s advisors, explaining that the attendance would be limited to Kuwait TV only, and there was no desire for the presence of journalists, reports Al-Jarida daily.
This step comes from Minister Bouqmaz to prevent journalists from asking questions regarding the meeting or the road crisis that the country has been suffering from for years without a solution. It is noteworthy that Minister Bouqmaz has not met with journalists once since she took over the two portfolios.
