Minister issues directives for safety of sea goers, visitors of islands and beaches

The Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD) said the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, has issued directives to increase diligence to ensure the safety of those who go to the sea, islands and beaches.

In this regard, the DGFD said in a press statement that the DGFD Chief, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Makrad, Friday, made a field visit to the fire and maritime rescue centers and took a sea tour of the fire and maritime rescue boats charged with securing the southern islands, checking on the workflow mechanism, embodying communication, and determining readiness and readiness, reports Al-Rai daily.

The sources added that Al-Makrad team listened to a brief explanation of the mechanism of work of the Fire and Marine Rescue Department in the fire and rescue operation and the mechanism of distributing rescue boats to the southern islands to reduce their response period to marine accidents of all kinds and to ensure the safety of seafarers on these islands.

The sources stated the DGFD statistics show this year 1040 reports were received between fire, rescue and public services.
