The Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Engineer Ali Al-Mousa, inaugurated Sunday the main 300 kV power transfer station Al-Ardiya AX.
A local Arabic daily said present on the occasion were the Assistant Undersecretary for the Electricity Transmission Networks Sector, Eng Mutlaq Al-Otaibi, and a number of senior ministry officials.
The Ardiya station, which was earlier operated via the 300 kV overhead power line from the Doha West Electric Power Station, is one of the important stations for the stability of the 300 kV network, which helps stabilize and raise the efficiency of the electrical network to ensure continuity of current delivery to consumers, especially before the start of the summer season.
