The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced a leak in the main cooling water for the environmental fuel units at Abdullah Port Refinery Saturday morning.
The oil sources added that the refinery crews have begun the process of gradually and safely shutting down the units while taking all precautionary measures so that the maintenance teams can fix the defect as quickly as possible and gradually restart the units, ensuring that export operations are not affected.
