With the aim of encouraging citizens to work in the private sector, the Ministry of Electricity and Water will cancel the test for engineers wishing to work in consultant offices approved by the Ministry.
Informed sources in the ministry told Al-Rai daily that, “The Supreme Planning Committee in the ministry discussed this item at its last meeting and now seeks to cancel the test requirement, and suffice with conducting an oral interview with engineers wishing to work in these consulting offices, with the aim of encouraging citizens to join the private sector.
The sources pointed out that dispensing with the test requirement will be met by several conditions and requirements, including a certificate from a recognized and documented university from higher education, in addition to a specific high percentage of final grades and other conditions related to the importance of the engineer’s work in the ministry’s sectors.
