An enormous number of employees from the Ministry of Electricity and Water boycotted work to stage a sit-in today, Sunday, to demand for the long-withheld approval of work allowances. The power ministry employees held the protest in the Ministry general’s office. The call for protest was given by the union of workers in the MEW with reference to the request for approval of various allowances, which the protesters have been demanding for years.
