Met predicts rain, light fog as temperatures expected to drop

The Meteorological Department stated that the weather today, Sunday, will be cold and partly cloudy to cloudy, with variable winds to northeasterly light to moderate, with speeds of 12-45 km/hour, and scattered rain that may be accompanied by thunder at times with a chance of light fog forming in some areas.

The Met department indicated the weather at night will be cold and cloudy to partly cloudy, with variable light to moderate northwesterly winds, becoming active at intervals over coastal areas blowing at 12-40 km/h, and scattered rain that may be accompanied by thunder with a chance of light fog forming over some areas.

Meanwhile, meteorologist Issa Ramadan predicted rain will continue throughout Sunday and begin to decrease at night, while the chances of fog formation and a decrease in horizontal visibility will continue until Monday, after which the weather will begin to improve and temperatures will drop during the coming period.

He added the weather is unstable due to an atmospheric depression, pointing to the chance of thunderstorms permeating the rains that the country will witness, and will include most areas of Kuwait, as it will start in the south and then move to the northern areas of the country.
