Message from Italian ambassador on the occasion of Italian Republic Day

On June 2, the Embassy of Italy in Kuwait celebrates the Italian Republic Day for the first time virtually, in consideration of the need to respect the measures of social distancing, which are currently in force in Italy, Kuwait and in most countries and also as a sign of deep respect for the many victims of the pandemic.
The Embassy’s social channels give space to the greetings of the Ambassador of Italy to Kuwait, Carlo Baldocci, to the Kuwaiti Authorities and personalities, as well as to his community. At the heart of the Ambassador’s message, the importance of continuing to respect the important and attentive measures adopted by the Kuwaiti Authorities also in this phase to face the Covid-19 emergency, as well as the many and significant manifestations of solidarity received by the Kuwaiti Government and from the friendly Kuwaiti people.
The virtual celebration opens with a special representation of the Italian National Anthem, edited by “Accademia Chigiana”, which is already well known in Kuwait, where it has launched an important musical season in the past months in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy. The day closes with the awarding of the “Salute to Italia” Prize dedicated to young Kuwaiti artists who presented figurative artworks that represent the special relationship between Italy and Kuwait.
