The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Al-Anzi, issued decisions today to terminate the work contracts of 15 non-Kuwaiti employees upon directives given by the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mazen Al-Nahedh, as part of the ongoing Kuwaitization process.
The sources indicated that the decisions to lay off “expatriate” employees included typists, accountants and a legal researcher working in the foreign trade, legal affairs, the technical support and planning sector, the control and consumer protection sector, financial affairs, as well as the corporate sector and commercial licenses, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the decision, the work contract ends on June 29 as per the notice period.
