The Municipality Services Licensing Department of the Hawalli Municipality has removed all temporary stalls (makeshift booths) that were allowed to be built in the midst of the Salmiya shopping center for not abiding to the terms and conditions of the license, for distorting the view of the area and for selling cheap counterfeit goods.
A local Arabic daily quoting the Municipality sources said the activity was not carried out under the supervision and follow-up by the Ministry of Commerce.
