Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh issued a decree suspending Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Mazen Al-Jarrah reports Al Rai. During the investigations into the case of the Bangladeshi parliamentarian, it came to light that there is the possibility he accepted bribes and was involved in financial transactions.
The Bangladeshi lawmaker and businessman Mohammed Shahid Islam is under investigation for money laundering, human trafficking, visa trading and bribery. He was sentenced to be detained for a period of 21 days in the central prison last week.
He is a sitting Member of Bangladesh Parliament and runs four companies in Kuwait providing cleaning services, with 9,000 cleaning workers under his employ.
