Local eggs slowly returning to Kuwait markets

The official spokesman for the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources, Talal Al-Daihani, announced that poultry farms are gradually returning to the production of local eggs. Local eggs have started to fulfill Kuwait market demand after nearly two months, Al Qabas reported.

Two months ago poultry farms stuffed a huge loss as a large number of chickens had to be culled due to the infection with avian flu.

Al-Daihani said in a press statement today, that the director of the animal health department at the authority, Walid Al-Oud, confirmed that the local production today amounts to about 500 cartons per day, expecting that production to double by next month.
