List of companies qualified to sell health insurance policies to ’60 years old’ non-graduates

The Insurance Regulatory Unit has published the list of 11 companies which are qualified to issue the health insurance policy for the non-graduate expatriates 60 years and above.

The following are the names of 11 companies:
Kuwait Insurance, Gulf Insurance, Al Ahlia Insurance, Warba Insurance, Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance, International Takaful Insurance, Elaf Takaful Insurance, Boubyan Takaful Insurance, Baytak Takaful Insurance, Arab Islamic Takaful Insurance and Enaya Insurance Company, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The Insurance Regulatory Unit (IRU) said the companies have met the following conditions which needed for their approval:

1. That it be a Kuwaiti shareholding company licensed by the IRU to engage in insurance business related to the subject matter of the insurance policy.

2. Must have the ability to manage health claims through its own networks and submit proof of this to the IRU, or have a contract with one of the (health) insurance claims management companies.

3. All final judicial verdicts issued against the company must have been fully settled, unless the verdicts were judicially suspended.

4. Must be committed to paying all the financial obligations of the Health Claims Management Company and the network of health service providers.

5. Any other conditions determined by the IRU.
The IRU has the right to cancel the listing of the company from the approved list if it is proven that any of the previous conditions are not met.
