The Ministry of Interior announced, based on the ministry’s strategy aimed at achieving an integrated security system and extending the security umbrella throughout the country, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, has issued directives to the field security sectors to impose the prestige of the law, by adhering to full readiness, vigilance, and control and connection standards.
A local Arabic daily in a statement said, the directives included the need to continue making all efforts and developing security plans, presence and security deployment, conducting patrols to secure all areas in all six governorates, and said the focus, coordination should be on cooperation between the traffic, operations, public security and criminal security sectors to achieve the desired goals.
Lieutenant-General Al-Barjas has also stressed the need to work with a renewed security thought and in a team spirit to implement the tasks entrusted to the security men and noted the directives focused on the importance of field presence for all personnel at all levels to follow up the progress of security performance and commitment to implementing security plans with precision and perfection, with full commitment to high-end dealing with the public and taking into account the human dimension, while opening channels of communication with them to reach positive interaction and then achieve the security message.
Lieutenant-General Al-Barjas stressed that the current stage requires a firm and severe response to the violators because of the danger they pose to society, stressing that preserving the civilized appearance of the country is a goal that must be translated on the ground by confronting any negative phenomena or legal violations that endanger the lives of citizens and residents; saying he has full confidence in his men of the security establishment and their abilities to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them with efficiency and competence in all circumstances.
He also called on citizens and residents to abide by the instructions of the security men, and the need to abide by the law, and to carry identification papers, in order to avoid legal accountability.
