LIC International-Kuwait mourns demise of former employee

LIC International-Kuwait deeply mourns the sad demise of former employee, Geetha Prabhatkar (51) who succumbed to cancer at Amrita Hospital-Kochi, India on Monday, 18 October.

Mrs. Prabhatakr, who hailed from Palghat District of Kerala, was a long term employee of LIC International-Kuwait/Warba, having joined the company in 1996. Before this,she was employed as an Assistant Executive in the Palghat branch of LIC India. In Kuwait, she was the first employee recruited by Warba for LIC operations in this country and over the years played a pivotal role in the growth of LIC-Kuwait. She joined the company as an executive and worked her way up the ranks to become Senior Insurance Specialist, before leaving Kuwait in April 2020 due to a medical exigency.

On behalf of LIC International-Kuwait, Resident Manager Devesh Kumar extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family. He added that with the demise of Mrs. Prabhatakr, LIC-Kuwait not only lost a former employee but also a friend and a good person.

She was among the few insurance professionals in Kuwait who acquired a Fellow certification from the prestigious Insurance Institute of India-Mumbai. And, was in a true sense a single point contact for thousands of Warba customers in Kuwait. both by virtue of  her long association with the company, and with her tireless patience and sensitivity towards clients. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will always be missed by the LIC Kuwait unit where she worked for almost 24 years.

She is survived by her husband Prabhatkar and two children, a son and a daughter.
