Labor examination centers overcrowded; long Eid holidays added insult to injury

As the Ministry of Health continues its preparations to open a new labor examination center at the Mishref Exhibition Grounds, the officials at the two other labor examination centers in Shuwaikh and Jahra are facing difficulties in controlling the crowds of expatriates who want to complete their transactions.

The visitors, who talked to a local Arabic daily, have called on the health authorities to open the Mishref examination center to ensure to help them complete their transactions without delay, because the current centers are becoming overcrowded.

The visitors explained the appointment booking system is currently under great pressure, which has led to the difficulty in getting appointments to the examination centers and the earliest available appointments are after May 26. They fear they may not be able to complete procedures before the expiry of the entry visa.

According to the visitors to the center, the length of the last Eid holidays negatively affected the completion of transactions and the completion of examination results, in addition to the influx of large numbers of visitors in the morning period compared to the last days of Ramadan.

They pointed out that accelerating the pace of results of tests is the best solution snd the best way to end their suffering, especially with the advent of the summer heat.

They added, that some centers are witnessing a stumbling block to complete the transactions for reasons beyond the control of the employees in them sometimes, such as the failure of the computer system for a limited period, noting that the time factor is very important for the auditors and those with them from expatriate workers to the country who want to complete their examinations as soon as possible, in order to avoid violating the residency laws , and the consequent financial fines affect the expatriate and the sponsor.
