Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Azmat Karagolov, announced last week that Kuwaiti citizens will not need an entry visa to visit his country and simplified procedures for residents such as same day visa. Pointing out that the number of Kuwaiti tourists to Kyrgyz Republic in 2021, amounted to 5,000 tourists, he added that his country had lifted most of the preventive measures related to COVID-19 crisis.
In a statement to the media, Ambassador Karagolov noted that the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has been a strong partner in his country’s development, and had provided funding for several infrastructure projects, including roads and hospitals.
On the other hand, the ambassador said that private investments between Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait were “not up to the required level”. He welcomed Kuwaiti investors to invest in Kyrgyzstan, stressing that like other Arab investors, Kuwaiti investors would receive special and open facilities, such as low taxes and easy transfer of funds.
In response to a question about the security situation in his country, he explained, “Security is very stable, and our country is open to citizens of the 22 Arab countries, especially since in our country there is a large Arab community of Lebanese, Syrians, Moroccans and Egyptians.”
Ambassador Karagolov concluded the statement by thanking His HIghness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, the Government and people of Kuwait for hosting members of his community in Kuwait, who he added worked mostly in the field of medicine, engineering, teaching and in hotels.”
