Kuwait’s quota of pilgrimage this year 3,622

Government sources said the Saudi authorities have set Kuwait’s share of the number of pilgrims at 3,622, after their number was 8,000 before Corona.

The sources told a local Arabic daily the number has been reduced drastically due to the kingdom’s limitation of the number of pilgrims this year to one million from about 2.5 million before the outbreak of the pandemic. Regarding the number of bedoun pilgrims, the sources confirmed that the Ministry of Awqaf is waiting for a response from the Saudi authorities to determine their number to perform Hajj this year, but said there has been no correspondence in this regard so far.

The sources pointed out that Awqaf will coordinate with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to control the prices for Hajj pilgrimage this year because the prices are expected to rise dramatically following the reduced quota.
