Kuwait’s Ministry of Health said Monday 614 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours to increase registered cases to 55,508.
Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said three persons died of the virus to make total fatalities 393.
He added the new cases were of people who came into close contact with infected persons. Al-Sanad said 378 of the new cases were Kuwaiti citizens, or 61.56, and 236 non-Kuwaitis, or 38.44 percent.
