Kuwait’s Ministry of Health (MoH) registered Friday 1519 additional COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour span, increasing the total number of infections to 216,586, while 8 fatalities were recorded, raising the death toll to 1,210.
Active cases amounted to 14,554 with 225 of them in intensive care units, MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 14,554, with 225 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad.
He revealed that some 9,742 swab tests were conducted yesterday out of a total of 1,951,691, adding that the positive case to test ratio amounted to 15.6 percent over the past 24 hours. The ministry had earlier reported that some 1,273 more people had been cured from the virus since yesterday, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 200,822. He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus
