An unidentified Kuwait has been shot and wounded in the thigh after he attacked a security man with a knife and injured him in the forearm.
The Al-Rai daily said this happened when a police force was rushed to control the suspect who was allegedly ‘abnormal’ and attacked his family with a knife.
When the police force reached the spot, one of the policemen who tried to disarm him was stabbed in the forearm. The other patrolman fired in the air twice and ordered the suspect to stay away from his colleague and then shot him in the leg when he refused to obey orders.
The security man and the injured Kuwaiti were taken to the hospital for treatment. The Kuwaiti will be referred to the authorities after he is discharged from the hospital.
