The Criminal Court has issued a verdict sentencing a Kuwaiti citizen employed in the Ministry of Electricity and a Syrian man to 10 years of imprisonment with hard labor and fined them 482,000 dinars in a case involving the leakage of high school exams through “WhatsApp” and “Snapchat.”
Following the court’s decision, the Public Prosecution has mandated a 21-day imprisonment for the defendants in the exam leakage case, reports Al-Rai daily.
Subsequently, they will be transferred to the Central Prison and face charges of money laundering, along with the acquisition of funds through illegal means.
Previous police investigations had uncovered the involvement of the defendants in leaking the exam papers. The investigations also revealed the illegal inflow of money into their accounts as a consequence of their actions.
