Kuwait reports six COVID-19 deaths, 1,279 infections

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health on Saturday reported six new COVID-19 deaths, and 1,279 infections in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA that the death toll increased to 1,569, and the caseload to 275,270 since the pandemic outbreak.

Al-Sanad added that the total recoveries have reached 258,599 after 1,338 patients recovered from coronavirus today making the recovery rate 93.94 percent out of the conducted tests.

Moreover, 15,102 patients in total are receiving health care, including 220 at intensive care units, he said.

Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours 8,194 tests were conducted, with infection rate 15.61 percent, making the total conducted tests 2,334,897, he added.

Al-Sanad renewed his call on the public to maintain social distancing, and to abide with all health regulations that would help in stopping the virus spread.
